Saw this on threads and thought it’s worth sharing. Innovation is incremental and sometimes it’s just radical. Incumbents (large legacy brands) may also fade away when this happens. From the invention of phones, numbers were physically pressed or rotated on a dial. Different models were released with innovations in how the number pads were created. One company thought it need not be physical number pads and that changed the rest of the innovations. Was touch screen new when this happened? No. Touchscreen were invented almost half century ago than this. But Apple made the best use with the iPhone. Moral of the story: When you are presented with a question with 3 choices. It’s absolutely ok to think of 4th choice which is not presented. When you see a problem with 100 existing solutions, you can think of something that’s completely different from the existing ones. When the perspective to the problem changes everything changes. Source of video is in that, some one from threads shared couldn’t find..
