I note with interest that @roadsidemum / Louisa Britain's book, “1 in 5” has reverted to “being funded” by @unbounders. Interestingly, 6 people pledged for a video call with Louisa Britain at £10, presumably as an “add-on” to the book. I wonder how that would have gone, or what they will do now that she has seemingly fled the Internet. I rather suspect, of course, that she is still here under another guise now that the “Roadside Mum” one has been rumbled. It seems that people were so supportive of the campaign that they pledged more than once: 888 supporters in total. 140 pledges for the signed book at £25/pledge 752 pledges for the paperback at £15/pledge 906 pledges for the ebook at £10/pledge 12 pledges for a ceramic mug at £10/pledge 7 pledges for a tote bag at £30/pledge 1 pledge for an A4 cover art print at £35/pledge 507 pledges to donate a copy of the book to someone else (including postage costs) at £33/pledge 11 pledges to donate (amount unknown) As Unbound refuse to refund me and other backers for a book that is long overdue and doesn't actually appear to have been completed, I am issuing proceedings to a) get a refund, and b) test their terms and conditions with regards to the legality of refusing a refund in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Re #RoadsideMum turns out she fluctuated between telling folk her twenty something daughter had died, or was living in supported housing. Neither are true, she's alive and well. Secondly, folk DMing me to say they were contacted by RSM to contribute to her book.
