Thanks for sharing this example. That wasn't ideal. We always aim to match the size of the package to the items shipped, but there are rare occasions when an odd sized box or package is what's available, to get the merchandise out the door. We appreciate your feedback and will share with the appropriate team.

To clarify, REI is not in a partnership with Project Lyme, nor did we approve their use of the co-op in their press release. There are no regional education efforts happening. We clarified with the organization directly, and felt it was important to also be in touch to ensure you were aware no investment has been made.
