When we invest in the overlooked communities, we expand opportunity for everyone. A strong economy isn’t just about big business - it’s about creating new pathways to the middle class. Today, @NJTV asked me why I’m not running to the middle after Trump’s win. My answer, you can’t fight extremism with moderation.

Proud to stand with Hunterdon County, with the NAACP and with activists across the state to demand the defense of the Constitution. We can debate about policy but we can't have a debate about is the 4th Amendment or the 14th Amendment - every American should be able to agree on that.

I was honored to join the Monmouth County Democrats for their Meet the Winners event. It was a privilege to speak and remind everyone that standing up for our neighbors is the right thing to do. Fighting to protect our democracy is the right thing to do. Ensuring everyone has access to quality healthcare is the right thing to do. Making sure the wealthy pay their fair share is the right thing to do. We are on the right side of history and we must keep fighting.

Had a great day in Hunterdon County yesterday. We heard from over 300 residents on issues related to housing, transportation, protecting immigrant communities, and so much more. People in power like to divide us between city and suburbs, rural and urban but I’ve been all across this state and it’s one New Jersey and the issues in Hunterdon are the same issues working people are facing all across our state. #HunterdonCounty #TEAMBARAKA #Unity #Justice
