Prime Minister, in your speech you didn’t even mention 'Make in India'! The PM should acknowledge that ‘Make in India’, although a good initiative, is a failure. Manufacturing has fallen from 15.3% of GDP in 2014 to 12.6% - the lowest in the last 60 years. India's youth desperately need jobs. No government in recent times, UPA or NDA, has been able to meet this national challenge at scale. We need a vision to address what’s holding our manufacturing sector back, and prepare it to be competitive in the global economy of the future. This vision for production in India must also have a specific focus on emergent technologies like electric motors, batteries, optics, and AI. This is the only way to revive our manufacturing sector, develop cutting edge manufacturing ability, and create the jobs we need. China is 10 years ahead of us and has a stronger industrial system - this is what gives them the confidence to challenge us. The only way to compete effectively with them is to build our production systems and for that we need vision and strategy.

The imposition of President’s Rule in Manipur is a belated admission by the BJP of their complete inability to govern in Manipur. Now, PM Modi can no longer deny his direct responsibility for Manipur. Has he finally made up his mind to visit the state, and explain to the people of Manipur and India his plan to restore peace and normalcy?

For nearly two years, BJP's CM Biren Singh instigated division in Manipur. PM Modi allowed him to continue despite the violence, loss of life, and the destruction of the idea of India in Manipur. The resignation of CM Biren Singh shows that mounting public pressure, the SC investigation and the no-confidence motion by the Congress have forced a reckoning. But the most urgent priority is to restore peace in the state, and work to heal the wounds of the people of Manipur. PM Modi must visit Manipur at once, listen to the people and finally explain his plan to bring back normalcy.

As the world stands on the brink of a technological and economic revolution, India needs a new vision for growth, production, and participation—one that directly addresses our two biggest challenges: the job crisis and the lack of opportunity for 90% of Indians. Jobs come from production, which Make In India has failed to revive. But we have an opportunity with the revolution in energy and mobility - with renewable energy, batteries, electric motors and optics, and AI to bring these together. India must master a central role in this revolution, and boost production to give our youth hope for the future. Although China is 10 years ahead, we can catch up - with the right vision. An INDIA government would realign education, enlist experts, widely spread finance, and align our trade and foreign policies. Production is also the foundation of our national security. In a world where wars are not fought between armies but between industrial systems, our dependence on Chinese imports like motors and batteries puts us at risk. Internally, India is fighting against inequality that is increasing social tensions by excluding the 90%. We must conduct a caste census to understand where Dalits, Adivasis, OBCs and minorities stand today; and with the help of AI understand how best to ensure they have a fair share in the nation’s wealth and opportunities. It is only these two tracks in parallel - production and participation - which will create a robust growth story for India and a bright future for all our youth.

The tragic loss of Mihir Ahammed to suicide due to bullying in a Kerala school is heartbreaking. My deepest condolences to his family. No child should endure what Mihir faced. Schools must be safe havens for children yet he suffered relentless torment. Those responsible—both bullies and those who failed to act—must be held accountable. Bullying isn’t harmless; it destroys lives. Parents must teach kindness, love, empathy, and the courage to speak up. Believe your child if they say they’re being bullied, and intervene if they are the bully.
