Gemma was in hospital again this evening with another runaway heartbeat. This one reached 226. Amazing team at Worthing A&E who couldn’t have been more caring. Very grateful to everyone there. Gemma is okay now but the stress she’s under is enormous. Hope it doesn’t happen again.

Raven passed her driving test today. I am very proud of her, but sad she doesn’t need me to drive her around anymore. So many of those Dad things are gone now, & I miss them. Every step the children take towards independence, vital though that is, feels like another small piece

Just heard the truly horrible news that Janice Long has died. One of the nicest, funniest people I’ve had the good fortune to know over the years. A fantastic supporter not just of my music but so many others. A huge loss to music. This is a sad day.

This afternoon Gemma was rushed to hospital with a heart rate of nearly 240. I didn’t know that was even possible. This evening our show, which looked like being a disaster, turned into something amazing. Gemma is now asleep in the bunk above me & I cried with relief. Mad day.
