Excited to announce the next โจ๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ด๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฅ๐ผ๐ฐ๐ธ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟโจ of ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฃ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฝ๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด (@ieeepervasive), Dr. Nivedita Arora (@NivArora)! Nivedita is an Assistant Professor at Northwestern University (@NorthwesternU). She was awarded the @TheOfficialACM Doctoral Dissertation Award 2023, an annual honor given to the author of the best doctoral dissertation in computer science and engineering worldwide. Nivedita has done inspirational work in developing sustainable computational materials, bridging areas such as device fabrication, low-power systems, and design. ๐ฌ Interested in learning more about Nivedita's research? Check out this article, which includes an interview with Nivedita conducted by me: Bio: Nivedita Arora is the Breed Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE, @NorthwesternECE) and Computer Science (CS, @northwesterncs) Departments, Northwestern University. She received her Ph.D. degree in CS from Georgia Institute of Technology (@GeorgiaTech) in 2023, advised by Gregory Abowd (@gabowd) and Thad Starner (@ThadStarner). Her dissertation, โSustainable Interactive Wireless Stickers: From Materials to Devices to Applicationsโ has been recognized with the ACM, Association for Computing Machinery Doctoral Dissertation Award and Georgia Techโs CoC Outstanding Dissertation Award. She has won two best paper awards (ACM #IMWUT and ACM #SenSys-#ENSsys), two best poster awards, and research highlights in Communications of the ACM and #SIGMOBILEโs GetMobile Magazine. In addition, she has received the @ubicomp Gaetano Borriello Outstanding Student Award, GT Foley Scholar, Outstanding GRA Award in GTโs College of Computing, Rising Stars in EECS, and GTโs Faces of Inclusive Excellence.
