RIP - A couple, who may have lain dead for months after succumbing to carbon monoxide poisoning in a suspected personal tragedy, are believed to be from Cork. Concerned locals alerted authorities to the house where David & Hazel Byrne were found dead in Glenbeigh this morning.

NEW SPEED LIMITS COME INTO FORCE From Friday (7 February) new speed limits will come into force. On that day local roads will drop from 80km to 60km. Later in the year, the speed limit on national secondary roads will also be reduced from 100km/h to 80km/h.

HOUSE FIRE DEATH - Gardai in Cork are continuing their investigations after a man in his 60's died following a house fire in Cork last night. The blaze started in a home off the Togher Road at around 7pm. Investigations are ongoing.

I'm speaking with Philip who says its time to sort out the Fota Road. There is a crash at the gates of Fota & traffic is at a standstill. He says emergency services initially found it difficult to get to the crash site with the traffic volume. I hope no one is seriously injured.

Neil spoke earlier to Cork mum Christine Kavanagh who is grieving the loss of her 3rd son Damien (36) who died in Wales yesterday. She previously lost her son Ross (31) & Leon (31). Neil has arranged for Damien's body to be repatriated through Kevin Bell Repatriation @KBRT2013
