Contrails stop forming for the same reason clouds have edges. The plane has flown into a region of air (warmer, or less humid) where contrail formation is not possible.
This is especially noticeable with aerodynamic contrails like this, as they are more sensitive to conditions.
For all the chemtrail sceptics, you can see in this clip exactly when they turn the chemtrail off.
You can’t turn contrails off - it would mean the engine has stopped. But you can sure turn chemtrails on and off.

Well, this explains it perfectly. The crashed UFO that was the size of a football field was only that big on the inside, like the Tardis. On the outside it was only 30 feet, so they could transport it to Wright-Patterson on a flatbed truck.
