The disrespect and shaming of abortion survivors needs to end. I expect better of members of Congress than to say born alive infants are “S*it that isn’t true.” I would be honored to sit down with @CoryBooker and @SenSchumer to review the research literature on born alive infants. Even better—@theASNofficial can schedule a time you could meet some survivors and mothers face to face and hear about their experiences.
People who have survived abortions and their mothers who have experienced abortion not going as they’ve planned can see and hear these falsehoods that you’re spewing. If only it wasn’t true that my birthmother’s forced saline abortion didn’t occur. If only it wasn’t true that I was poisoned and scalded for 5 days before being delivered alive instead of dead. If only nurses who have left babies like me to die didn’t share their stories with me. If only women like Sycloria Williams didn’t have to live with knowing her baby who survived the abortion was placed breathing in a biohazard bag and thrown on the roof of the abortion clinic. If only policymakers and the media read the research like the one in ACOG that identified an 11.2% failure rate of second trimester abortions. It only you would stop attempting to silence and shame those of us whose very existence apparently threatens your narrative on abortion. I’ll be on the Hill tomorrow advocating for people that you say don’t exist. I’d be honored to sit down and talk to you about this further.

That abortion procedure that didn't end my life complicated things-one of the most accurate statements l've seen about abortion. "A saline infusion for an abortion was done but was unsuccessful," is also documented.

Whether the abortion I survived had been 18-20 weeks as the abortionist indicated on my medical records, or it was 31 weeks that the neonatologist remarked on my records after I was delivered, the outcome was intended to be the taking of my life.
An abortion at 6 weeks has the same goal and outcome as an abortion at 25 weeks. Both end the life of an innocent human child.
