Today was another awesome journal club. We focused on CHF, and looked at if AI can pick up on EKG changes to identify it (a study done here at Mayo) and scoring tools to help make dispo decisions in the ER. Many thanks to @DerickDJones for hosting and explaining the AI to us and to our fearless leader @SAEMEBM ! Breakfast was @panerabread 📚♥️🩻🏥@meaghan_sievers

Today was resident Olympics, where our residents are challenged to practice skills typically done by our amazing ancillary staff (RTs, EKG techs, RNs). The colleagues who taught them the skills 6 months ago now grade them and time them on what they learned! 📚👏🩺 🏆@MayoClinicEM

It’s Tuesday, which means another jam packed conference day! 📚Started out with intern lecture on bradycardia, then Peds mock code with emeritus professor Dr. Mannenbach (and our excellent pharmacists and nurses!), intern Dr. Sayed’s lecture on code blue in a pregnant patient, Resuscitation Review, Peer Review Pearls, joint trauma video review and finally and excellent lecture on ED management of HIV! Phew! ♥️👶🤰🩻💊🚑
