A bittersweet goodbye as I say my last words as a Member of Parliament.

Yet another day when hostages families wake up to the worst news imaginable. My heart goes out to all the families and loved ones of the six innocent dead. When will the warring leaders hear our plea that we want the remaining living hostages returned and the fighting ended?
So sad to hear that Nicky Gavron has died. She was completely committed to public service and even when her eyesight deteriorated she continued to struggle to continue to building a better and fairer London and Britain. Loss to us all
