Today’s @NYTimes article, “How a Leftist Activist Group Helped Torpedo a Psychedelic Therapy,” sheds light on the tactics used to derail MDMA-assisted therapy for PTSD, one of the most promising breakthroughs in mental health. As Belinda Eriacho describes, Indigenous traditions see healing as a dynamic, relational process honoring a person’s connection to life and their unique journey. While Western medicine often focuses on structured diagnoses and treatments, Indigenous approaches remind us of the importance of meeting people where they are and viewing wellness as an evolving experience.
