Pleased to see the shift to prevention and early intervention as part of our #PlanForChange. Increasing public health grants funding will tackle the root causes of ill health and build stronger, healthier communities nationwide.
š£ Funding for public health grants will ā¬ļøto Ā£3.858 Bn - a 5.4% cash uplift on last yearās funding. We are pleased the Govt has increased the PH grant, acting on our concerns over the funding pressures PH teams have been under to maintain vital services.

Excellent to hear @GwynneMP announce the Government's ground-breaking National Cancer Plan. The plan will see waiting times reduced, access to earlier treatments, and investment in a world-leading trial to transform breast cancer care using AI. #WorldCancerDay

Very pleased to have the expertise, knowledge and professionalism of @MarieTidball MP on the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill Committee. Parliament and the people of Penistone & Stocksbridge are very lucky to have her.
It's been a couple of days since we finished up our first week of the Assisted Dying Bill Committee, where we heard from 50 witnesses supportive and opposed to the Bill. I wanted to share what we have been doing and how it works š
