I’ve been told before I’d get a job and I got a job because I was female applying to engineering departments. Not my PhD from Hopkins, my postdoc at MIT, my publication record. Because I was female. This was in 2018. So yeah. Not shocked when I saw this gem of a tweet.

Most working on serology are hesitant for "immunity passports" as antibodies alone don't = immune. Neutralization assays on virus itself, challenge studies are gold standard. This is why #basicscience research is important & to think past primary endpoints of serosurveys.

Found out today I received the #NSFGRFP . It has honestly felt surreal. From the bottom of my heart I want to thank God 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 and everyone that has invested in me because I know that I’m here not by my own doing but because of the mentorship and guidance of so many ppl.

Friends who went to #SFB2022 now that you’re home and resting… test! Wear masks and maybe telework tomorrow until you can get a PCR test. Having lunch with someone? Eat outside! Be careful this coming week.
