When people ask me, "What's the dream?" I always tell them the same thing: Superman.
Movie, show, book—it doesn't matter. I'm happy if I'm working next to the Man of Steel.
Some words from me about Clark, being Jewish, being Cuban, and putting it all together ❤️🦸♂️
I love when people are like "but people love Wii U games now that they are on Switch! This proves the Wii U was good!"
No it proves it had some good games that were held down by a ~bad console~
Game Pass is going to really hit its stride when it consists of: 6 different Call of Duty games, Candy Crush, and a future Fallout game that never releases.
Sakurai actually filmed himself acting out all the scenes in Subspace Emissary so the animators could use his movements as references.

Buck wild that
@XboxP3
logs more playtime than most of us, sucks at his job so much that mass firings are routine, and keeps his high-paying career in tact while THOUSANDS lose their livelihoods.
if only there was some kind of group you could contract to give media a--i don't know--sensitivity read and avoid creating work like this for yourself in the future.
gamers complaining about this review are so freaking soft.
Literally *anyone* could have hopped on a computer and clicked 2,000 words about how that game everyone liked is still good for reasons you already suspect but the author here has the NERVE to have a perspective!
@fanofthetroops
why not just say "we were uneducated and did stupid hateful things and enjoyed it" instead of running crazy boomer alliance defensive plays right now
for the record i own this game (lol) it's just insane that Nintendo put out the biggest animated video game adaptation of all time, made this collection, but doesn't let your average joe buy it on the eshop
The gamergate grift crowd doesn't care about video games or the people that make or play them.
They only care about capitalizing on misinformation to translate bigotry into dollars.
Targets in this week's culture war were a nearly imperceptible glitch and a cartoon ghost girl
There seems to be code for handling 4K resolutions in the new Paper Mario TTYD remake. No idea if this is normal for Switch games or not but I thought it was interesting.
genuinely impossible for me to understand how big of a loser one must be to see this tweet and think "aw yeah vaguely-described hatred directed at a woman—this guy has the right idea! So glad he's talking about what really matters!!!"
Me: *likes every pokemon game*
Also me: the new Pokemon games look good.
The comments: BIASED YOUTUBER OBVIOUSLY PAID NOT TO SAY ANYTHING BAD ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE THE ONLY PERSON THAT CAN BE HONEST IS ME BECAUSE I HATE THESE GAMES I AM SO SMART
My last day at GameXplain is this Friday.
Fondly remembering those who rallied around me in this position. If we ever talked career, you'd know I'm always trying to align my lifestyle with my values. The journey continues—more on that next week ❤️
I occasionally see moaning on here about Nintendo's 2024 output, but it doesn't really matter, right?
The legacy of the Switch is firmly placed in the top tier of Nintendo's consoles and this relatively slow year will be immediately forgotten in 2025 when shit goes crazy
here we have the CEO of Moon Studios (Ori games) talking about how important the fight against woke cancel culture is, while invoking the famous 'first they came for the socialists...' Martin Niemöller poem.
the pro gamergate progaganda is as cringe as ever
@MauriceWeber42
Macht doch Sinn, Maurice.
@abram_facts
but listen if the oscars aren't the arbiters of what is good and meaningful then what is?!?
My identity is personally invested in the Barbie movie and if it doesn't win these awards does that mean that...I am...less than?!?!
Y'all do not know what criticism is.
Idk if it was YouTubers who broke your brain or what, but if you want what you consider to be a default perspective validating a purchase you have already made just go literally anywhere else.
I've said it before, but the best part of the job from start to finish was the love and support from the friends and fans. If you wanna keep up with me and the kind of content I make, here's my new little project:
Are your replies filled with freaks, idiots, or grifters begging for engagement? Pro-tip: go to your profile and check what lists you're on.
You can block people and get yourself off the list. Cuts down on the amount of drive by idiots pretty well.
today, youtube reactionaries have decided to perform anger about an old piece on Polygon.
The author understands that all art exists on a spectrum from reinforcing the status quo to subverting it. They just wanted the story to have teeth! Sorry they mentioned the real world lol
a writing mentor once told me that any artistic criticism should be as specific and precise as the object you are criticizing.
I think YouTubers have popularized 'shoot the shit' talky style reviews and people bought in and think that is criticism. It's not! It's a reaction!
I continue to see YouTubers big and small aid in the targeted harassment campaign against Alyssa Mercante and it's such pathetic loser behavior.
I don't care what childish excuse they hide behind. Don't be friends with these people. Don't allow them in your space. It's easy.
@dave_schilling
I bumped into
@joshgondelman
on the streets of North Carolina after having opened for him somewhere else like a year before and he definitely didn't remember me but was very, very sweet and then pretended to have!
You know why YouTubers do review discussions? Because it's easy!!! It requires little-to-no prep and, if you do it live, you don't even have to edit a video! You can just move on to the next piece of content you gotta churn out lmao
a new Let's Go game that doesn't remove abilities + supports normal controls would actually rule.
Would be cool if they supported a few starter choices in each game to really push the lack of star power in that role.
Just gimme a nice, normal little poke game
@plantSSBpiranha
1. Incredibly weird to defend an artificially created limited run designed to drive sales by capitalizing on FOMO
2. millions of people bought a Switch the cutoff
3. My original point was that Nintendo could convert more movie-goers into sales. That's it! Money on the table!
it becomes impossible to avoid the imperialistic drive to gobble up other companies and then, when the smaller studios fail to reach the fiduciary heights of the heaviest hitters, redirect their workforce into those big boys in an effort to chase higher and higher profits
Making game studios publicly traded companies is the worst idea to ever happen to videogames. The business model fundamentally doesn’t work for how games are made or how our consumers enjoy our products.
This industry deserves better funding models.
@MagitekDad
when their entire identity hinges on being a white victim i imagine they can only interpret things in the world as supporting their manufactured reality or denying it—the result is endless mental gymnastics to make absolutely sure their victim status is maintained
"take nerd culture back" is a pretty insane thing to unironically say!!! A lot of weirdos these days are paraphrasing great replacement theory and don't even know it (or maybe do idk)
@SrDroolcup
1. you could apply this logic to every single person with an Xbox and he is still in the top 5% of players on the entire platform.
2. nobody totaled the hours. he posted it himself.
Phil can do whatever he wants, but you can't stop me me from making fun of a multi-millionaire
@GalacticRebirth
there are a couple of big grifters in gaming right now doing major anti-woke agitprop and they just told their followers to be mad about the review. None of them have even read it they just keep repeating the same small brain talking points.
@ItsMrProducts
I don't see how my tweet or the article is suggesting malicious intent.
But also! Racism doesn't start and end at intention. It is material. It is quantifiable. There are positions that exist to flag something like this even if it is unintentional. This is not controversial.
official Multiversus communication says that the ability to purchase lives—a feature with bespoke text and functionality—is a bug.
Brother, what an insane claim to make about a feature after everyone clowns on you for it. "Oh how did that get in here?" energy
today they are performing anger about stellar blade lol
pay attention to the content creators ravenously searching for a take so they can disagree with it.
pay attention to whose side these "not political" people are always on

People have enjoyed Pokémon games before despite performance and I think that's absolutely fine and normal considering the kind of games they are.
If you didn't like it before and are waiting for these games to release to announce you still don't like it you are so damn boring
this thing is powered by black magic. i’ve played 100s of hours and charged it maybe 8 times. battery low warning? nbd, charge it for 20 minutes and you’re good for another 4-6 months. incredible.
Lmao, now we're doing "You are not a Real Gamer" talking points.
Literally all conservative agitprop (even if you don't realize you are being conservative, sorry) is rooted in drawing a fake line in the sand and saying, "LOOK AT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN US AND THEM!"
so boring.
Alyssa, I know you don’t play video games despite working for a “video game” journalism company, but the rest of us who actually respect the medium understand the importance of lore.
it begs the question: why are you even making video games? For no reason other than the bottom line? SOMEONE has to WANT to make these things and that's not gonna happen when you force people into the Call of Duty mines so they can simply retain their livelihoods

a career highlight—after talking to
@sarahnatochenny
I was so invigorated I wrote 10 new pages of my novel. Truly a light in this world and I am so grateful I had the chance to speak to her about Pokémon and everything else ❤️
For the record, I think the chances of them releasing another game with Let's Go branding are unimaginably low.
Been wrong before, but I just don't see it.
