On 07 Feb 25 @IndiaCoastGuard #MRCC #Mumbai received distress from a merchant vessel regarding medical emergency onboard Indian fishing boat Renganathar Thunai 170 Nm west of #Kavaratti Island. Responding to the distress #ICG undertook prompt medical evacuation of 49 Yr old fishermen suffering from seizure/stroke, with coordinated efforts of a #ICG #Dornier aircraft, #ICG Ship #Samarth and #Radar Operating Station (Kavaratti). Patient was safely evacuated and transferred to ICU at #Kavaratti for urgent medical care. This successful operation reaffirms the #ICG’s vital role in surveilling and safeguarding Indian waters, ensuring security & safety in remote areas of Arabian Sea. #Lakshadweep #WeProtect @prafulkpatel

#BiCycle Rally #SurakshitTat organized as a part of the #ICGRaisingDay2025 celebrations consisting of 20 cyclists, commenced on 02 Feb 25 from #Daman, was flagged off from 73 ACV Squadron by IG Bhisham Sharma, PTM, TM, #COMCG (WEST) from #Belapur #NaviMumbai for the next leg of its inspiring journey covering the scenic yet challenging route to #Murud. Riding alongside the cyclists, the Flag Officer actively participated in the rally leading from the front & Inspiring the riders!
