Although Bill Bailey used a Leicester-made Imperial typewriter at #lastnightoftheproms on Saturday they also had a factory in #Hull. @AmyLTommo busted an urban typewriter-based myth here for @CuriosityHull last year. https://t.co/Ep6ZBKPdYs

We were privileged to host the local launch of @collinstony book about Roy Francis earlier this year. Now very well reviewed in The Guardian. @hull_libraries @Hull_Museums
The book that should win the @BookiePrize #SBOTY this year is 'majestic' according to @guardian. Quite right too. #RugbyLeague #WorkingClass #BlackHistory

Today's the 770th birthday of Königsberg (now Kaliningrad) on the south coast of the Baltic. Always one of Hull's trading partners, last year we hosted an exhibition about philosopher Emmanuel Kant, who lived there, and his links with #Hull. @HullMaritime @hull_libraries
Königsberg was founded by the #TeutonicKnights #OnThisDay in 1255. The success of the #medieval military order owed much to the charismatic leadership of Herman von Salza 🔓 This archive article is free for 7 days https://t.co/IJFeKic1NN
