Since it first hit, Storm Eunice has officially caused the highest number of power cuts in a 24 hour period our South West region has ever experienced. Our engineers are continuing to work relentlessly to restore supplies to our customers despite the awful conditions.

We’re sorry for how long it is taking to restore supplies. Our engineers are finding complex faults from weather damage, which are extremely labour intensive to resolve. We are also being hampered by snow drifts in parts of the Midlands. Latest update here

A #Lincolnshire colleague found a customer who wasn't 'camelera' shy. Linesman Harry said: "After repairing a fault at an animal farm in Skegness, the customer wanted to show us a few of the animals. As I went to take a picture of the camel he placed his head on my shoulder!"

Storm Eunice’s strongest winds have now moved away although conditions remain difficult as it is still very windy. So far we have managed to restore over 350,000 customers, with just over 146,000 currently off supply.
