We are saddened to announce Mr. Lorimer Arendse, principal of Grand Prairie High School, passed away this morning after a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Arendse was a beloved educator that had a close relationship with GPHS staff and students. He will be greatly missed.

The GPISD Board of Trustees approved a 1-to-1 iPad initiative for K-2nd grade.. The district will purchase 5,650 devices and cases. The bundle will include no service fee for a repair or replacement for students up to two incidents per device per year.
