Phone (2) isn't launching anytime soon. We're focused on doing a few things well, and won't churn out dozens of products a year like many others.
Phone (1) is our main focus. We're cooking something really great in terms of software, Android 13 and beyond.
The Phone (2) camera is turning out to be pretty good. Other brands use pro photographers or even pretend DSLR photos are shot on phones.
To keep things real, I encourage everyone testing the Phone (2) to share unfiltered images right now.
I'll go first. 📸

Just visited our manufacturing facility in Chennai and here are my reflections
1. Big improvement from last year. Completely redone facilities with major improvements in cleanliness, security, and processes.
2. Making transparent tech is super hard. Let me just mention a few
Great interacting with the Hon'ble PM of India

We're all for fair competition. Make the best product and have the market decide who's the best.
To our competitor in India who thought it would be a good idea to attack us with a bot army, we only have this to say: chill.
Nothing Phone users: we're thinking of developing features that only work between Nothing users. Do you have friends or family on our phones that you could potentially use this with?
What happened to apps?
Remember the good old days when apps just did what they were supposed to do?
Nowadays, it's all about getting you deep enough onto an onboarding funnel to then manipulate you to subscribe. Or, it makes you the product through getting you addicted by
My 2023 predictions:
1. At least one AI killer app will emerge (we haven’t seen nothing yet)
2. Tesla becomes just another car brand, as traditional car brands catch up
3. Twitter does really well due to Elon spending lots of time on it
Got the Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Pro on Sunday to learn about smart watches, but I don't know what to use it for... Feels kind of useless? What do you use smart watches for?
There has been a lot of discussion ever since we announced that Phone (2) will have a Snapdragon 8 Series chipset. Well here's some news - it’s going to be the premium-tier powerhouse Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. A clear upgrade from Phone (1). Let’s talk about the key differences👇
Phone (1) has 2 exceptional cameras.
But it’s better to show you what it can do. So we gave Phone (1) to the team here.
See the results for yourself here:
This is it. It’s now official. 🚨
This summer we will be launching our first ever smartphone - phone (1). 📱
While it is going to be unlike anything you have seen, and I am super excited about it, this is just the start of the Nothing story. 👇
Here's a thought, with CMF Phone 1 being modular, how about a trading card holder case 👀
Big thanks to
@Dylan_Bal1
for sorting me out a quick print of my prototype to visualise how something like this could look.

Look what just landed in New York! Phone (2) will be available at the Nothing Kiosk in NY on July 13th, starting at 7pm. See you there. We will also have other drops happening across the world, including London, Bangalore, and more. Stay tuned.
What a week.
We kicked it off with some of our favorite parrots 🦜and followed up with the design reveal of phone (1). The energy around it has been real. (Btw what should we name our parrot?)
Nothing x Swedish House Mafia
@swedishousemfia
have composed an exclusive Glyph Sound Pack for Phone (2), giving you a taste of what's coming up.
With the new Glyph Composer, you can personalise and remix Swedish House Mafia's custom sounds. Tap the pads to trigger different
We've now began rolling out Nothing OS 2 for Phone (1). Thanks for everyone's patience! As our capabilities strengthen, we'll be able to pull in the time gap over time.
I find it odd that Nothing Phone (1) gets compared to the Pixel 6a. It's a good device, but has a completely different positioning and value proposition.
6a is Pixel's entry level smartphone. Phone (1) is our flagship smartphone. The BOM (bill of material) cost to build the
@getpeid
Other than the glyph interface, how would you say it is better than the pixel 6a? Just curious since from what I understand that are priced similarly.
