To pinpoint a video’s location and assess its timeframe, our volunteers use tools like Google Maps or Google Earth. They compare specific elements in the video to satellite imagery and existing photos from the area, looking for matching features such as tree lines, buildings, monuments, or electricity lines. Once verified by an administrator, the video is added to the map. The primary aim of our maps is to provide a better understanding of complex situations.
