Asoka/Candragupta, in fact Mauryans were not natives to prsent day Bihar, they were from Pipilavana(present day Basti/Koliya,UP).
It's like Pan Singh Dhoni migrating from Almora,Uttarakhand & now Dhoni is being misnomered as Bihari/Jharkhandi.
Similarity Gupta were Prayagraj.

Also, don't bring Freight equalization policy, 1952 and Ashoka etc in your defense, justifying these acts.

True but there was no UP or Bihar dyring thise times. East UP then(abd now) was culturally and linguistically close to bihar than it is Jammu.
Guptas origin is debated, they are betwen prayag to bengal but regardless,Guptas used to marry with Licchavis of Vaishali.

from Mother side Lichhavis, father side originates from Earlier Vatsa Mahajanapada.
