AI tutors sound great on paper but in reality it’s complicated. Sometimes they do more harm than good and even when they help students, it’s not always in intuitive ways. I wrote about some of the most recent research into their efficacy.

I've had the opportunity to try many great lagers and pilsners this year. It was fun writing about my favorites for Forbes, but as I say in the piece, very often the best lager or pilsner is the one poured fresh on tap at your local brewery.

My first love as a journalist is local news. I've found that the more you look in your town, neighborhood, etc. the more fascinating people. This story I got to do about filmmaker-turned-bubble-tea maker, Sophia Leang, is an excellent example of that.
