For the role of GP they are absolutely less qualified than the consultant of that specialty who is supervising them.
The fact that these particular PAs have not highlighted that they were working beyond the scope of their role is deeply concerning for their probity.
Clearly some really big issues here, but PAs are not 'less qualified' staff. PAs are qualified to be PAs. Concern here is appropriate scope and supervision. Not a reflection on PAs. Headline is disengenious and masks real issues of privitisation
