Pinch me. Getting to watch one of OUR NCAA D2 guys play in the ALCS… Zach Stone into the Ville HOF today, and seeing 144 extended family members at the 13th annual Ville Baseball Golf Classic. 14 years ago, some of this stuff didn’t seem possible. God is good.

What a year. This group will go down as a PSAC Championship club that just wouldn’t go away. We had 10 injuries of 6 weeks or more—4 of our 6 conference starters suffered various injury and illness (this isn’t an excuse—rather a point to be made about their resolve). Incredible.

This team is RELENTLESS. I am so proud of how our kids have gotten knocked down and gotten back up all year. Finished the regular season 37-12 and 18-6 to PSAC East. Onto the post season!.

I know someone will not like what I have to say, but timing is possibly the hardest part of recruiting. This process is pressure packed for families and coaches alike. It might help to hear things from a coach perspective that’s not trying to get a player to “yes.”.

Today Paul Wilson made his debut after a 2-year lay-off due to not one but two UCL tears and separate nerve surgery. This kid has battled both the physical side and mental side of rehab. He did a ton of research, and never gave up. Watching him succeed is why I love my job!.

Crazy to think… I was Charlie Morton’s teammate in Rome, GA in 2004 (@Braves system) and now @chazzyfizzz is facing him in game 1 of the World Series. Safe to say Charlie aged better than I did. He probably doesn’t remember me. Seems like an eternity ago.

A huge congrats to Cole Friese who broke our career HR record today. Ryan Brink (‘00) was the former holder—he was an incredible hitter. Friese has been insanely consistent over the past 4 years. Hat’s off to you, kid!

Good sweep today. This was a highlight for me. Mark battled back from a labrum tear diving in CF as a freshman, only to rehab and tear his UCL 2 years later. He rehabbed again & this was his 1st AB of year 4. This game great. it gives to those who go about it the right way!.

In 2008, we created a sketch on graph paper, our what our ballpark could look like. It was a DREAM—Turf, lights, etc. With the installation of LIGHTS this winter, thanks to YOUR help, we checked every single time off of the old wish list. Here is the NEW VISION for the Coop!

Miles took the time (on possibly the busiest and worst day of his career) to come to the Coop to hit batting practice with the team. Minutes later we received the news from the NCAA that all championships had been canceled. This gesture of support meant so much to all of us.

My hat’s off to our 3 seniors on a fantastic run. 4 regional appearances, a Regional Championship, a National Runner-Up, the programs first #1 national ranking, a PSAC single season record 53 wins, and only lost 2 series in PSAC play. 169-57 overall. THANK YOU.

I can’t stand bat flips and walking out of the box on a HR. There is nothing better than seeing a player hit a bomb, drop the bat, and run hard. A wise hitting coach named Mel Roberts told me that a player has to EARN the right to be a prospect. Play the game the right way.
