We want to Save Camp Wewa from becoming a subdivision. After 70 years of ownership, the Central Florida YMCA is in the process of selling Camp Wewa.

WE DID IT!The final paperwork has been signed and the @CityofApopkaFL has officially bought Camp Wewa!Thank you to the YMCA for 70 life changing years&we look forward to helping the City and Wewa create just as many more!Details to come on a celebration get together in September!

Great news! @CityofApopkaFL approved the YMCA's counteroffer tonight and hopefully a contract selling Wewa to the City will take place soon. The mayor also announced the Lowes will be making a large investment to refurbish the camp!

Very good update from the mayor today regarding their potential (hopeful!) purchase of Camp Wewa, nothing is finalized yet but fingers crossed. Thankful to the @YCentralFlorida who have been great stewards for 70 years now and working hard to find a deal with @CityofApopkaFL !

March 28th Update: The City and the YMCA are still talking, the offer has not been accepted nor rejected. We understand this process will take time but we are very hopeful&encouraged that they continue to talk and that Wewa can be saved. Please keep sharing your Wewa story!!!
