So long story short about the bedbug situation at the
@Marriott
So we found a bedbug in our room while attending a Furcon in Ottawa. Brought it up to the front desk.
Was lied to by the staff telling us it wasn’t one, when it very clearly was… (1/??)
Today’s my last shift at the Home Depot 🥹
Been working there for over 4 years now through school and honestly it’s been a great job
Sadly it’s time to move on (Got a job as an electrical control technician 🦜)
Someone just walked into the store and asked “Where’s the PP?”
It took every ounce of my existence not to burst out laughing
(They meant PPE 🦜)
#furry
#fursuit
Now they’re claiming the bug was “unidentifiable” (I don’t think they showed them it cause it was very clearly all in one piece)
And have given us 2000 Marriott points (probably worth maybe $2)
💀 And yeah. I currently have my fursuit in the freezer and hopefully he survives.
We let them have to bug to “confirm” it was one and promptly left the hotel and stopped the trip a day early
(I didn’t want to infect the convention with bedbugs 💀)
They offered us a free breakfast or 10’000 Marriott points (worth $5) and told us we’ll get a report (2/??)
Since I’m finally home and settled, I just wanna say thank you to everyone I got to interact with 💛
You all really made
@anthrocon
really special for me and I hope to see you all at the next con!!

@Manu_Koa
After returning home with all our stuff in bags (even tho the cleaning lady told us not to bother bagging our clothes)
We emailed them back asking for a report. The inspector looked over the room and found nothing, with no mention of the bug we already found (3/??)
