Because:
1. They come from an animation creative background, so they understand the craft.
2. So they give a lot of time in development.
3. Allowing creatives to experiment and push mediums.
4. And joy flows through the entire production, which you see and feel in the final film.
I don't know how they do it, but every time Phil Lord and Chris Miller produce an animated movie, they always find a way to make the weirdest ideas the most incredible animated movies yet.

Yes, everything. My minds eye is like a TV up there. Constantly visual and moving. I can think of a memory, image, drawing, episode of a show, or imagine a completely new animated show, and its instantly there.
