There are tons of hilarious emails I get these days - completely written by ChatGPT and full of flowery English to communicate something trivial.

It's 2025 - I don't understand why just signing in to iCloud is so slow. And why I can't download XCode because of some stupid error. I have been trying to this for a week now.

Microsoft started by building interpretors for micro computers. Gradually they and a lot of other companies moved to app layer. Something similar will happen in gen AI space. More companies will move to app layer from model and framework layer. Deepseek will accelerate this.

Reminder: microservices are a way to scale the team, it's incidental that systems also can scale because of them. If you are a small startup in your 0 to 1 journey, microservices are more of a hassle than of help. Avoid them. Keep it simple!

Interesting thread: These days, when I interview folks, I ask people to use ChatGPT whenever they are stuck and I observe how they explain LLMs their issues. They are going to use Gen-AI regularly and I want to see if they know how to use it!
