In 2017, AFIDEP helped position Demographic Dividend (DD) as the top development agenda at the African Union (AU): Harnessing the DD Through Investments in Youth. The AU launched a continental roadmap to help countries harness the DD by investing in youth, education, skills development, and job creation. We kick-off in Kigali at the 4th Global NCD Alliance Forum with a pre-conference on February 12. The focus is on strengthening financing for #NCDs in the Africa region through #UHC and #PHC. This is part of the ongoing work of the Financing Accelerator Network for NCDs, a coalition including @NCDAccess, @WBG_Health, @results4dev, and @Afidep, to connect with stakeholders and work together towards improving #NCD financing.
