Update: I successfully petitioned my student's expulsion. He has an IEP for ADHD and we were able to successfully argue that his behavior plan wasn't being implemented correctly and the explosion was against ed code. I.E.: HE WAS BACK IN MY CLASS TODAY! 😭

It’s a pro-policing myth that being a cop is a particularly dangerous job. Construction workers are more likely to be injured/killed on the job & do much more important work for a society. Cops get a lot of on-the-job power and better pay than many more dangerous jobs. So nah...
