Voice actor here. You know nothing about casting. These actors were cast because they were celebrities, and their whiteness plays a huge role in them attaining that status. Roles for marginalized actors are few and far between. Making room for POC actors, etc IS IMPORTANT.

Fun story--when the Dr. Who precons came out we had a person at our LGS come in. Dedicated Whovian but had never played a *single* game of Magic. Ever. Our store paired him up with me and a couple of other seasoned players so we could coach him through everything.
This is how we should all treat new players. Magic is complicated, and it takes years to get the hang of. Be patient with questions that seem like they should be 'obvious' and give them a little extra encouragement. See if they would like friendly advice.
