This implies that they think cis-men are naturally better at chess, which is only anecdotally “true” because women (cis & trans) tend to be denied supportive environments and are ostracized from male-dominated practice/community spaces. It’s only marginally better these days.

What I’m trying to say is that this is insidious on more than just topical transphobia. It’s the implication that they believe men are naturally better at chess than women, and that they think transwomen are just cis-men costuming as women. Just all around terrible.

People wholeheartedly believe that there are inherent binary brain hemisphere functions & biological sex-based advantages regarding intelligence/logic, so it’s unlikely. Somehow, denying women opportunities for success means that men are “naturally better” at xyz. Who knew. 🙄

It’s not about bad reviews for bad service. It’s fake bad reviews made in bad faith, used for coercion, and even seemingly raving reviews that imply providers offer services they don’t. Good reviews also don’t also mean you’re a good provider for the client looking to hire.
