can confirm, learned more from the guy who told me to forget realistic anatomy and just focus on appealing shape language than hours of anatomy study - anatomy clicked once I started seeing everything as shapes

I'm an atheist but it's things like these that made me respect religion. It gives people comfort and strength to move forward, and that's what matters. No one should try to take that away from people even if they don't have such hopes.

I've been avoiding it for years cause someone told me "you'll pick up their mistakes", but I 1) wasn't striving for accuracy but appeal 2) it's easier to learn fundamentals from simplified sources
