Thought this was just a training mod bug, but I found a way to replicate this in game
If you press A + B when landing after hammer swing, Jr is able to use hammer swing while in kart until up B is used again. Here is a small concept combo but it opens up a ton of possibilities.

When doing footstool side b, whether or not side b is grounded or not is character dependent. Normally Min Min would be in the aerial kart category, however, a few weeks ago I found that kart dashing 1 frame late actually causes side b to be grounded
