@TheSMI
's Astra Carta! 🚀🧑🚀✨
The King has welcomed astronauts, business leaders, environmentalists and scientists to a Space Sustainability Event at Buckingham Palace.
This is a fantastic first step in validating all the key technologies for rendezvous & proximity operations and capture in space. Repeated capture is the foundation of on-orbit servicing, and this successful demonstration paves the way for sustainable space operations.
🚨 We are excited to announce that (in the middle of all your own successful GIF captures) our
#ELSAd
spacecraft successfully demonstrated repeated magnetic captures in orbit today!
This is a BIG DEAL. 🛰️

Since I was a child, I've been in awe of space. But life took me on detours, and it wasn’t until I was 40 that I founded Astroscale to tackle the
#spacedebris
issue.
It’s never too late to clean up our orbital environment!
#COSMICCleanup
It was such a pleasure to meet
@SciNate
yesterday during
#AUSSpaceFourm
and present him with our newest swag... Astroscale satellite servicer socks!
Thank you for stopping by and learning about how we are leading a circular economy in space.
Wow, I can't believe
#IAC2022
is already over! It was great to meet so many people who share our vision and an interest in on-orbit services. What an exciting time for
#spacesustainability
. Can't wait to do this again next year in Baku!
Another breakup at 800km SSO. Too bad. Immediate actions are required. Don't wait. Govt, Industry, and global organizations should lead by example and seed global discussions. ELSA-d is making tangible steps toward orbital sustainability.

NOAA 17 is 2 ton at 800km SSO, very congested zone. This breakup would affect a lot to orbital environment. We need to accelerate discussion for removing environmentally critical objects from space.
Thank you very much for invitation. Great event indeed. Astra Carta by His Majesty truly enhances activities for space sustainability. We
@astroscale_HQ
commit translate Astra Carta into reality.
The growing problem of space junk poses a serious & growing risk to our economic security, resilience & Earth 🌍 science.
That’s why I’ve made UK leadership on setting the metrics & regulatory framework for sustainability in space a UK 🇬🇧 priority.
Delighted today to convene
Me with the Astroscale Israel team! It's amazing to see how much the team has grown & to celebrate their many contributions to our global missions and initiatives. Thank you, Arie, for your leadership over the years & congrats, Ofir, on your promotion!
Happy 8th Anniversary to Astroscale! Another busy year has flown by, and I have to say, a lot has happened. Our teamwork is truly something to be proud of. We share the same goal to create a sustainable future in space for generations to come.

Fascinating to hear about
@astroscale_HQ
’s mission to clean up Earth’s orbit. 🛰️🌌
Space debris is a major global challenge with an estimated 36,500 debris objects greater than 10cm already in space! Objects can stay in orbit for hundreds of years.
Thank you
@forbesjapan
for naming us Japan’s Start-Up of the Year 2019. I am honored and humbly accept this on behalf of everyone at

The precise operation of our complex spacecraft is the result of our incredible engineering team, countless tests, and contingency planning. I thank our team, as well as the governments, space agencies, companies, and friends of Astroscale who have supported our mission.
I am very excited by this expansion into on-orbit servicing. In order to achieve space sustainability we must first address the defunct satellites. The next question has always been “how can we make sure the remaining active satellites stay active?” This is the answer.
First end of life services and ADR in LEO 🧲
And now satellite life extension in GEO 🛰️
Today we are excited to announce that
