💯 It leaves a lasting impact for QA veterans who have been dealing with disrespect for years and newbies who are just joining and don’t feel empowered or welcomed. The stigma around our discipline is slowly shifting toward one with more support and a longer career path, though!
One of the most crushing things I’ve experienced in this industry is when I’ve been having a great convo with someone at a conference, but then seeing the interest literally flick off like a switch once they learn I’m in QA.
