I was getting scary vibes when showing a vacant property to a man. So I flagged down some women walking by, and they immediately pretended they ALSO had an appointment with me to see that property, so I wouldn't be alone with the man. No questions asked, they just did it.
I just saw someone ask "how are we gonna tailgate?" and they are being sincere.
You can go...to bars....that will be nearby...
Can some people please act like they've stepped foot in a city once in their lives?
Look at this WILD moment. The count is 2-2 but Eaton acts like this check swing is ball 4 and jogs to 1st, allowing Drew Waters to steal home easily. This gives the Chasers the lead and then Eaton is still actually at bat with a full count after the ensuing confusion 😂

That's been a pain point for me too. I have gradually found myself deleting more replies than I post, because I realize "this person doesn't know me" and it's very humbling. Because sarcasm has been my armor for decades, and learning when it needs to sit on the shelf is tricky!

I got this when knocking doors before the caucus. One woman cracked the door open one inch and hiss-whispered to my partner and me that we'd better get going. But then she pointed to the candidate's logo on my clipboard and gave the world's smallest thumbs up.
MLB veteran umpire Greg Gibson was behind the dish in Omaha tonight, on a rehab assignment. Here he is warning Brett Phillips to miss him with the ice water splash. 🤣
A thing you should know about Josh Staumont: he's a Dog Person. He and his amazing wife Angelina went out of their way to get a pit bull from the Humane Society in Council Bluffs, rather than Omaha, because they knew CB has a pit bull ban and they wanted to save a life.

Proud to say that aaalmost every dog I have ever photographed has been adopted. The one holdout is grumpy old man Jax, who I met in November 2018. He has earned the right to be grumpy, having been surrendered at age 10.
One of y'all could adopt Jax!
City Connect jerseys feel like maybe a handful of teams had ideas they were excited about that really hit the brief but most teams are just mailing it in
He asked the usher (hi Cindy!) to go find the kid and bring him back down to the dugout area.
Aaaaand that's the story of why Terrance Gore gave away a perfectly good bat to a kid at a MiLB game.
Nicky Lopez is someone who:
-signs autographs during games (against the rules, but can't say no to kid fans)
-loves dogs (most important attribute IMHO)
-hit a home run the other night right after some kids told him "hit a home run"
-plays defense like some kind of wizard

Also, the shots after that were of the crowd dancing and then, the players doing the same. The sequence set a great scene for what the mood was like in the stadium!

I taught myself to write in cursive in 1st grade. Had to rewrite all my homework because "kids aren't supposed to learn that til 3rd grade."

Mom once had a lawn mower that was really hard to start, so she impressed upon us that we could NEVER interrupt mowing. When she replaced that mower, she just...never told us differently. I respect the peace she bought herself that way.
Also not normal: mom doing all the mowing.

I'm imagining a "loud cookie jar" as being like one of those singing Billy Bass things. You open it up for a cookie and it's all "JEREMIAH WAS A BULLFROG!"
Salvy drove in two with a double, then scored on a Gordo double. Now he has hugged everyone in the dugout, and is gathering his stuff.

Michael Massey's grand slam in the first inning was his 5th home run since being promoted to Omaha. This is his 17th game as a Storm Chaser.
In his next plate appearance, he drew a bases-loaded walk to give him a quick 5-RBI night.

Benches cleared in Omaha!! Drew Waters took a fastball square in the back and took exception to it.
The pitcher and both teams' managers were ejected in the ensuing drama.
