Sid Judd my teacher at Windsor Clive School, Cardiff, scores a try against the All Blacks, it was Sid who got me playing rugby. He also scored a try for Wales the following week to beat the All Blacks twice in a week. Great man.

We are still waiting for a Statue of this great man in his homeland of Tiger Bay, they have one in his adopted town of Wigan and Wembley, surely his birthplace should do the same.

125 years of Rugby League, I see wonderful talented men, I see hard tough men, I see men who have left their homes in Wales, Scotland, and many from Wales because of their colour. in the depression years in Wales men came north to feed their families.

Remembering my great friend Colin Dixon who left us 21st June 1993 aged 49, Colin a legend in RL with Halifax, Salford Hull KR, Wales & GB, came north to Halifax aged 17 from Tiger Bay, Cardiff. He had a smile that would light up any room, a lovely man who will never be forgotten
Today the legendary Frank Myler was laid to rest by his family, Frank was the last Captain of Great Britain RL to lift the Ashes in Australia, a great friend he will be greatly missed by so many. My thoughts are with Eileen and all the family today, Rest well Frank.

Can’t help keep thinking of the four young boys who lost their lives when the ice give way beneath their feet, just heartbreaking to think about, I don’t know how their families are coping with such a tragedy. No words can help but bless you all.
