My mother was a widow in her 40's.
1/3 of women become widows before they're 60, and 1/2 before they are 65.
Raising dependance on a man is not good legacy.
My daughters will go from being under my roof to under their husbands roof with nowhere else in-between.

So who is head of household? Husband or wife? Do I defer to my husband who can't vote in the US because he's a non-citizen or do I get to usurp his spot.
Lots of people like Hans. He regularly treats women like crap on a public level and he doesn't seem to see the problem.
Voting should be limited to heads of household over 21 who have passed a basic civics test. Likewise household votes should be weighted according to household size.

No qualms voting Democrat now.
Evidently, Tom Emmer -- whose nomination for House speaker was quickly torpedoed -- had two main faults: He was not an election-denier and he favored aid to Ukraine. Those are deal-killers in today's GOP. Which helps to explain why many, over the years, have left the GOP.
