Soon-to-be Helene has formed of the Carolina coast. TROPICAL STORM WARNINGS are now in effect for the entire Grand Strand. Helene is expected to become a tropical storm overnight tonight before making landfall along the Carolina coast tomorrow as a tropical storm.

A tropical depression is likely to form by next week for the chance in the Gulf. Gradual development is likely to be seen for the two chances that are in the Atlantic.

We have issued Monday as a FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY, models continue to show landfall somewhere in the Grand Strand through Wilmington. Where the exact landfall will be where we will see the most impacts. Heavy rain, gusty winds, coastal flooding can all be seen.

A LEVEL 2 out of 5 risk for severe weather has been put into place for our area tomorrow. You can expect with any shower or storm we could see in the late afternoon and early evening strong gusty winds, and large hail. and the small risk of a tornado.
