I didn’t want to publish this until I read through it 3 times over without changing a single word. Well after like 100 hours here is my 13 minute thought on life from love (with a scavenger hunt of repetition inside :)
Really grateful to have received an offer from

I spent 3 weeks on a wilderness expedition this summer, completely disconnected from society. It was the most transformative experience of my life!
I put together my series of stories and lessons from my time in Utah!
Thanks for everyone’s insane kindness today!!!!!! I’m really exicted about changing the world, and I hope you follow my journey by subscribing to my monthly newsletter ❤️

Initiative is the best way to show reciprocation
Eg someone asks “do you want to go on a hike”
Responding “Yes!” vs “Yes how’s Monday at 6?” are two different moods
Don’t leave someone to do all the activating
The ultimate follow up 14 years later.
*Reminder: say thank you to those who've shaped your journey.
*Remember: your small actions build up. A picture book can change someone's life.
ps. purple was one of my childhood nicknames. Can you guess my favourite colour?
I did a period tracking product mvp and my assumptions were wrong. I've pivoted to a new product in sex-ed; I now think boob blurbing is the future of sex-ed.
Here's why cycle syncing won't be a billion $ industry, but female anatomy party games could be:
Most ways to find “likeminded” people focus on the surface.
Eg you’re into robotics, join the robotics club.
It’s harder, but more satisfying, to find people that are different than you in their surface interests, but “likeminded” to the core of your unseen selves.
I don’t desire financial success because I am perfectly happy living with my current state of frugality.
I am free. From resume expectations, prisoning jobs or life styles, the need to be someone fancy.
Happiness existed before mansions and modern luxury.
I just finished an 8-week schedule for my new project. I'm working (with 3 friends) on ending maternal mortality (focus market = Nigeria).
Anyone who wants to follow the proj, DM me. I'll add you to a private mailing list (to send bi-weekly updates). More details in thread.
How to storyboard (any content)
Spit: dump all your ideas. No filters.
Section: clump your ideas, find common themes, and ditch some
Scaffold: put your sections in an order, add more details (e.g. sub-sections)
Structure: start adding your beginning & end for each section
Most underrated parenting tactic: giving your child unsolicited freshly cut fruit.
My heart fills with such joy and gratitude thinking about all the little bowls of fruit my mama would bring me whenever I was studying. 💕💕💕💕
Habits I’ve happily let go of recently:
- Rehearsing conversations
- Over-saying yes to commitments I don’t want to keep
- Listening to speak rather than listening to hear
@isabelunraveled
I don’t agree with either — in a lot of places, there is simply no upside to leaving the door unlocked. In many neighbourhoods locking the door it’s a telling sign of your cognizance.

Took me 4yrs (and lots of tantrums) to realize that my parents were right. It’s so much better when your electronics stay in the kitchen, not your room. 🧘♀️
I have medical coverage in the US and yet, right now it’s cheaper for me to fly home to Toronto & get free healthcare than to get the 3 tests I need in North Carolina
Wrote a guide to relationships. Something I wish I could ship into my 14 yo self’s brain.

People always get SO SURPRISED when I tell them that 7 months ago, I was just an average high school kid. Now I'm one of C2's 7 under 17, I'm working on projects ranging from female's health to food tech and speaking all over. I'm the luckiest 15-year-old…
Spending my summer in Burundi (world’s poorest country) building a novel health system.
Working w brilliant people, in a tough environment; I will document the journey!
Anyone know of places I could find support to get a drone? I think it would amplify the vid content 💛 🇧🇮
Being quiet is easier than saying something that opposes a group’s view.
I was in a group chat that was echoing some negative comments about youtubers - nothing super mean, but I wanted to point out the unneeded negativity.
What could I have done better?

Endlessly grateful for TKS for being my home away from home, school away from school (lol) and above all my community.
Can’t believe how lucky I am to spend every day with the most driven, intellectual and kind people.
@theksociety
TKS, as a girl interested in STEM was the best program for me to sign up for when I was 15. I loved it and couldn’t recommend it enough. If you know kids aged 14-17 or parents in those cities, please encourage them to apply! 🥨
Taking a seminar (designing food systems) in the fall & I'm stoked about the format.
15 people, 15 books, 5h conversation over dinner on tuesdays, 2h discussion on thursdays; deliverable after 17 weeks is to build a project related to food systems & write a 40-70 page paper.
Communities are powerful. Really grateful for the people who (extremely last minute) helped my team pull together our project implementation plan for a grant - and for my team for being so badass. I’m thankful to have people to call on in times of need ❤️
Small things that are making me happy recently
- Intense eye contact; giving people my full attention
- Asking creative alternatives to “how are you”
- Becoming physically stronger every day
- Checking in on people
- Noticing my opinions mature (reflection)
Every time I try to take photos of the stars / moon w my phone, the poor capture quality reminds me that some things don’t need to be captured permanently. Some moments are meant to be experienced not stored.

Yesterday I spent 6h hosting ~70 people, and among all the logistics, I greeted everyone welcome & goodbye.
I almost reached the brink of insanity but the secret is to love serving people so much that it feels like an honour to put out so many fires.
I remember
@ShivshilShukla
told me something almost a year ago that has stuck with me since. “I spent a year reading 150 books. Then I spent a year reading 4. The latter year was better.”
Grateful for that advice Shiv 🙏

. Two interesting points:
- Best interview q: "what are you optimizing for?"
- Where should a 17yo spend their summers? Miami, w SF being a very very very close second. But what cloud you're in matters more.
Dad: when you were 11, I went to your first parent-teacher interview. Your teacher said she expected students to write 1/2 page on the assignment
She pulls out yours... *1,2,3...21 pages*
Exceeding expectations by 42X.

Some good things in life recently:
1. I tried high quality buttercream for the first time
2. Bridgerton season 2
3. Getting frozen yogurt with friends + laughing a lot
4. A phenomenal sexual and reproductive health seminar class i’m in.
5. Starting a new journal this week!
I’ve been going to sleep repeating the mantra: “I’m one night closer to my last night. Who knows, that might be tonight” and it leaves me surprisingly refreshed when I wake up in the morning.
It creates an induced gratitude to seize the day.

I’m thrilled to unlock this new adventure 🌏— who’ll be around? Any must dos?
Got my (first) surgery today after landing in the ER yesterday.
The crazier thing has been realizing that my 12h walk (article: ) to simulate the realities of many people in the developing world was physically more painful than my abdominal surgery.
The past week in sunrises ☀️:

Would love to hear your thoughts!
In the last week, 3 men have said something like “btw I did this, hope that’s ok with you!”
None of the times it has been. But they ask in groups and I keep my calm.
Then I go in private, and tell them their actions weren’t ok. I tell them that they should have asked me.
My pledge: 3 months focused only on meaningful interactions. Fewer phone calls, more connection or progress.
I'm either solving women's health challenges or connecting with my 5 closest friends.
I'm going to free my calendar now.
One way we’re failing in education is teaching students to be criticisers/activists/opinion holders instead of builders, activators, and opinion iterators.

Little trend I’ve noticed among “ambitious high achievers”:
Making powerpoints during childhood to convince parents of something (typically to adopt a dog)
Dad: I’m so glad you have finally decided to become a doctor
Me: no dad, I am training to understand quality outcomes in health so that I can create new systems… like one day running a co, funding new innovations, etc
Dad: what about a lawyer or engineer instead?
Chapel hill is so scary right now, trapped in a room, hiding, just hearing loads of helicopters pass by. So many rumours coming through. Humans in times of ambiguity love gossip.
Today’s my 19th bday.
& today, ~385 000 new babies will be born.
Of these babies, >10k will be dead by my 20th bday and >14k (total) will be dead by my 24th.
They’ll die from things like diarrhea and pneumonia.
Also today, 800 mothers will die, 2/3 from preventable causes.
Over the next few years, I’ll be adding my best resources to this webpage.
It’ll have my fav podcasts, people, articles, topics, videos and books. I’m excited! 😊
