I drive from Waterloo to Toronto biweekly. Usually just me in the car.
The 401 sucks. GEW even worse. A few wks ago, during the marathon, it took me 1.5 hrs to get from Bathurst to Dufferin.
My other option? A 3+ hr GO bus ride Yeah right.
We need trains, and lots of them.
Toronto's population has doubled from ~3.3M in 1990 to ~6.5M now. We've hit the limit of how many cars we can move. We can't make downtown streets wider. If we want to move more people it needs to be more efficient modes of transportation: mass transit, bicycle, micromobility.

I really wish Ontario pharmacy conferences and orgs would stop recycling and reusing the same ~10 speakers for every lecture, keynote, Q&A etc.
Give us new industry leaders! People from different geographies! Different (and more unique) backgrounds!!!

With this rationale, physicians, who have far less training on actual medications, should stick to the diagnosis no?
Pharmacists will be the first to admit that we are NOT the diagnosis experts. Surely you (a physician) will concur that pharmacists ARE the medication experts?
I’m happy to discuss options with pharmacists to find the best treatment for my patients. I like working as a team.
But a pharmacist’s training is very different from a doctor’s.
Nobody else has spent the same number of years learning how to diagnose and treat.

feels like it’s about time for a velocity residence 2.0 / 3rd place / local hangout spot for builders that’s removed from the uni
minimal rules, just make cool stuff
almost guaranteed we would crush NYC/MIA/Gundo ;)
I’ve been thinking about setting up hacker houses in SF, El Segundo, NYC, and Miami to connect people from different locations together.
Kinda like little monasteries you can come and stay at if you’re in the city.
Should we make this happen?
