We broadcast the very 1st Spurs podcast way back in 2006! Transitioning over to Bluesky as this place slowly dies from Musk disease. Come find us there!
Gareth Bale leaves Spurs and wins every single trophy conceivable.
Hahahahahaha Spurs lol.
Harry Kane leaves Spurs and wins nothing.
Hahahahahaha Spurs lol.
If Kane fouls someone he’s a thug and if he gets fouled he’s a cheat.
If he drops deep he’s hiding and if he stays up from he’s selfish.
If he misses a pen he’s a bottler and if he scores it he’s a stat padder.
The most damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t player ever.
“Not a team”
“Selfish players”
“Nobody wants to help each other”
“Don’t put in their heart”
Yet someone else had this same team running through brick walls for him…
I don’t understand this. He’s either fit to referee against all teams or none. This implies some sort of bias was at play in the mistake, in which case he shouldn’t be refereeing at all.
🚨 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: Darren England, the VAR official who made the mistake last weekend, will not officiate Liverpool for the rest of the season.

It’s possible to recognise Lloris has reached the end of his road without being massively disrespectful towards him and his time with us. He’s not a clown or a fraud. He’s a legend that we’re incredibly lucky to have had spend his career slumming with us. But everything must end.
We’re in a vicious cycle with Emerson. The worse he plays the more the crowd get on him, and the worse he plays. And so on. Booing him and cheering his substitutions helps nobody. I hate it.
Notice how Spurs Twitter immediately just goes “idiot” as opposed to finding the obscured camera angle where there might be possibly be contact if you squint, plastering it all over the internet and demanding a replay.
Guys let’s be honest. We only finished above Arsenal because we have better players, a better manager, a better stadium and better fans. If it wasn’t for that they’d be in the CL next season for sure.
I’m sure someone else must have pointed this out, but us winning with 10 men after the week we’ve just had is literally the funniest thing we could have done.
In Ange’s first season he’s likely to finish about Chelsea, United and Newcastle and may still make the top four, but our fanbase are calling him a fraud. We honestly don’t deserve nice things.
I find the TalkSport model of getting failed footballers to criticise vastly more talented and successful current players extremely strange. Who wants to listen to that? It’s like listening to Dean Gaffney criticise Al Pacino’s acting method.
I’m not normally one to post negative things about our players. But letting Trippier, KWP and even Aurier go, only to spend £40m+ on Doherty and Emerson who are both worse than any of them, is some of the strangest business we’ve ever done.
Personally not taking any pleasure in what’s happening at Everton. Proper club with proper fans, not at all unlike us. It’s a little scary to be honest.
I don’t think the younger generation can really appreciate what a massive signing this man was at the time. I don’t think we’ve ever made a bigger one. Probably the best striker in the world, in his prime, and we got him. Was only one season (ish) and look at the legacy. Legend.
I swear Conte is actually gaslighting us. We’ve been almost permanently established in the top four for over a decade with lower seasonal spend than he’s had. His rant is just about making us think it’s unreasonable to expect wins over Sheffield United and Southampton.
Why isn’t Salah’s lack of form getting the same attention as Son’s? Could the fact that last seasons’ two top scorers are both underperforming this season be related?
If Conte had signed a new contract at the start of the season and told us his process would take patience, then the fan attitude towards him would be completely different right now. We know team rebuilds take time. But they also require commitment, not least from the manager.
He followed this up by rolling around on the floor screaming in agony to get Diaz booked. Did the same to get Emerson sent off last week. Deserves a rep for cheating.
Werner is everything a January patch-up signing should be. Potentially high reward and relatively low risk. All goes well and he could be a key piece in the puzzle. If it doesn’t work it has zero impact on our longterm plans. It’s excellent business.
Nice to see us actually passing into the space in front of players for them to run onto. You’d think this is a basic, yet under Mourinho and Nuno most of our passes seemed to be directly to feet, or worse hit slightly behind them.
I’m hearing Ryan Mason is the preferred choice there are concerns he’s too young, hence the delay in announcing to allow time for him to age sufficiently.
@UtdPlug
@OptaJohan
A lot of his stats are going unreported. He also has 16 flip-bys, 5 completed tech-cheeses, an incredible 31 tickle-tracks and almost 63% frosting completion rate.
The Tom Holland remarks have annoyed me, not because he said Harry should leave, but because I hate it when our own fans feed into these stupid narratives.
There are nearly 2000 clubs in our pyramid and of them maybe 5 or 6 have things better than us. Have some perspective FFS.
For no particular reason shout out Simon Davies. The OG Welsh winger that got us all on our feet before Mr Bale came along. My favourite player of the early 00s, always seemed to play with a smile on his face.
It’s just so weird what’s happening with Spurs. We were doing so well and then nearly all our first 11 got injured or banned and we haven’t won since.
It’s almost impossible to understand what’s happened.
Whoever decided that Antony was worth £90m and £200k a week should never work in football again. I think it’s the worst signing in football history. He’s awful. I’d honestly rather have an aging Andros Townsend on the wing. He’s genuinely a far better player.
I once saw Terry Venables in Soho and I just happened to be wearing my ‘91 era shirt. He walked straight up to me beaming and pointing at the shirt and we had a little chat before he jumped in a cab.
A top bloke, and he couldn’t have been happier to make my day.
RIP gaffer 🤍
My worry is that if we don’t make the top four people will start saying Ange has failed, where in fact us even being in contention is a huge achievement in season 1.
Royal’s performance yesterday shows what confidence can do to a player, and why our support for players who aren’t performing well is so important. As fans we have the power to build our players up or knock them down. Why would we ever want to do the latter?
“He’s chasing down
@alanshearer
’s record but one thing Alan’s got over him is a Premier League winners medal. Harry [Kane] is going to have to make up his mind if he thinks he’s going to be able to achieve that at Tottenham.”
Sherwood on Kane’s future
Remember when Poch first came and he what he did with players like Kane, Walker, Rose, Alli, Eriksen?
Now imagine what he could do with Spence, Gill, Udogie, Skipp, Sarr, Scarlett, Devine.
I wanted it to work with Conte, I really did. But the fit just isn’t right for us.
By the way there is a player right here in the PL who is repeatedly targeted with racist gestures and comments, even from TV commentators, and nobody seems to care.
I’d like to take this moment to welcome Leicester to the ‘can’t compete with the very richest clubs but the fans expect you to somehow’ club, where football becomes mostly miserable and pointless.
If we lose today Matt Law will says it’s bad news because Kane will go to City.
And if we win today Matt Law will say it’s bad news because Kane will go to City.
"On top of that Diogo Jota got two yellow cards for not touching a player once. That is unprecedented as well, I would say."
This is actually the most ridiculous thing Klopp has said in that news conference, not the replay suggestion.
"I feel sick. That's how I feel. I feel sick to be part of this."
An ANGRY Mikel Arteta shares his thoughts on the controversial Newcastle goal that meant Arsenal suffered their first Premier League defeat of the season. 😳
Remember about a year ago when Arsenal were struggling and were all “trust the process” and everyone was laughing at them but they did and it was the right thing to do?
Maybe we should take a leaf out of that book.
I’m so bored of hearing about Conte’s incredibly specific WB needs, and how if he doesn’t have exactly the right players in those positions everything else in his system falls apart. My take is that’s a bit of a flaw in his system.
Just watched
@BBCMOTD
and absolutely nothing was said about Spurs whatsoever apart from Shearer saying ‘well done Spurs by the way’ as an afterthought at the end. I know all the talking points were Liverpool related but surely some analysis of our winning performance was merited?
