As Redcar Athletic FC Secretary I received 3 compliments relating to the club after last night's home game against Consett AFC. The compliments related to 3 different things about the club, the set-up, our hospitality & the pitch. It's nice to hear we are getting things right.
It's Redcar Athletic's ISAAC WALKER again with a cracking goal making it 2-1, which turned out to be the winner, in the 55th minute. Redcar Athletic win the first ever Steelmen's Derby Cup by 4-2 on aggregate over Consett AFC with Isaac Walker netting 3 goals in the 2 games.
TOM BLIGH puts Redcar Athletic 1-0 ahead in the 15th minute during tonight's match against Kader in the North Riding Premier League. A healthy crowd of 63 turned up at BM Bi-Folding Doors Stadium to watch tonight.
A minute and a half after going behind Stephen Jackson equalises for Redcar Athletic with a tap-in. FROM 25 YARDS! A bright spot on a bit of a black day as Tow Law Town went on to beat us 3-2 and end our unbeaten run in the league.
ISAAC WALKER puts Redcar Athletic ahead with a beauty, in the 27th minute of today's friendly against Tadcaster Albion, which saw The Steelmen triumph by 4-1. Nice ground.
"It's that man again!" Scott Jasper scores again for Ryton and Crawcrook Albion against Redcar Athletic for the second game in a row. This time it turned out to be the winner. |Good Luck to
@RAFAFC1970
in the semi final.
Jordan Palmer flicks a header into the net to nab a dramatic 90th minute equaliser for
@CarlisleCityFC
. The game finished Redcar Athletic 2 v 2 Carlisle City.
I was asked not to put this video up by someone's mother. Sorry I have to. Great play and then a lovely through ball by Michael Woodhouse, is timed perfectly for ISAAC WALKER, who delivers an early Mother's Day present, with a lovely finish on 32 minutes for Redcar Athletic.
Owen Clarkson puts Redcar Athletic 1-0 ahead against Stokesley AFC in the Madden Trophy Semi Final after just 90 seconds at the BM Bi-Folding Doors Stadium today.
Redcar Athletic's D'Andre Wainwright's header flashes just past Bishop Auckland's right hand post just 2 minutes into the 2nd half with the score at 0-0. If only. But we have to learn to take our chances like these at this level.
Last week if Redcar Athletic v Sunderland Ryhope CW had been on you'd have been watching HELEN CONLEY refereeing the game. Now today currently Helen is refereeing Arsenal v Chelsea at Wembley in Womens FA Cup Final with a 40,000 crowd. Wembley? Poor subsitute for Green Lane that.
ISAAC WALKER makes it 4-0 to Redcar Athletic against Durham City with his 2nd goal of the game in the 73rd minute. He's not going back to the Reserves team any time soon, that's gotta be a fact! Joint top scorer for the 1st team now.
ISAAC WALKER scores his 20th goal of the season for Redcar Athletic to win the 3 points for the Teesside Steelmen, against their County Durham counterparts and Northern League Division 1 leaders, Consett AFC. Brilliant build up work from McKenzie Dicicco and Nicky Martin.
MICHAEL WOODHOUSE creates a new club record for Redcar Athletic, when scoring in the 12th second to put The Steelmen in front against Sunderland RCA in last night's thrilling 7 goal encounter. Redcar Athletic went onto win 4-3, to put them in 8th place in NL Division 1.
A great little run and then Owen Clarkson feeds in ISAAC WALKER, who fires home for his 21st goal of the season to make it 3-1 to Redcar Athletic against Billingham Town bang on 45 minutes. Drum roll please!
Ground improvements at Redcar Athletic on Green Lane being undertaken to make the experience of watching The Steelmen better than ever before. Many thanks to Paul and all the volunteers helping out.
@redcarathleticf
Hmmn, not making any accusations but strange that AFC Liverpool, Lower Breck FC, Vauxhall Motors, and Redcar Athletic who were all involved in case against Null & Voiding the season now also miss out on a place in the FA Cup. Double Whammy for the 4 of them.
Yet another amazing double save from
@PickeringTownFC
keeper Jack Norton to prevent both Isaac Walker and Donny Holdsworth from putting Redcar Athletic 2-1 ahead in today's match.
The Blue Brazil?? You wait all season and then in your final game comes the opposition's Goal of the Season Scored Against Us. An absolute corker netted by by JONATHON CARR, but what a build up to it by his team mates. Class, absolute class.
@SunderlandRCA
Centre half JACK PROCTOR powers a header into Billingham Town's net from Isaac Walker's corner kick, to put Redcar Athletic 2-1 ahead in Friday night's Derby game on 41 minutes.
By special request from the
@RACAFC1970
fans that were around me at the game last night here as promised is (i believe it's) Harry Gutteridge's rather cheeky 40 yard chip on goal in the 71st minute against Redcar Athletic.
I thought the ball had gone in here off Redcar Athletic's no.5, James Paylor for an unfortunate own goal due to his reaction. But it was as I was informed shortly after, a clear header from DANIEL HARVEY which saw Carlisle City grab a dramatic last-gasp equaliser.
999 fans have watched Redcar Athletic's first 6 home games of this season's Northern League Division 2 at BM Bi-Folding Doors Stadium. The average so far is 166 compared to last season's 153. Will you be the 1000th fan through the door to support The Steelmen?
@redcarathleticf
Stu Rose makes it 1-0 from the penalty spot for Boro Rangers against Thornaby Dubliners in tonight's MacMillan Bowl Cup Final played at Redcar Town FC's ground. Boro Rangers went on to win 2-0.
@bororangers
Donny Holdsworth makes it 2-0 for Redcar Athletic with a quickly taken free kick which catches out Whitley Bay. Teams have got to remember the referee does not have to tell the opposition that a quick take of a free kick has been requested. Only themselves to blame here.
Possibly the Save of the Season at BM Bi-Folding Doors Stadium, Green Lane in the very last game of the season, as
@WhickhamFC
keeper Kyle Seymour twists and turns whilst going backwards to somehow prevent Craig Hutchinson from giving Redcar Athletic a 10th minute lead.
Northern League Division 2's top scorer nets another one from the spot to make it 2-0 for Billingham Town against Redcar Athletic in todays match at BM BiFolding Doors Stadium Green Lane and basically kill off the game.
@redcarathleticf
@BillinghamTown
Considering that was the Champions elect that Redcar Athletic played today that wasn't a bad performance from the lads to finish 0-1. In the away fixture North Shields wiped the floor with us and we barely got a touch of the ball. Come a long way and some since then.
Redcar Athletic away shirts for their away tie against Scarborough Athletic pegged up for the players in the changing room with shorts and socks under them. They don't get there by magic, it's thanks to our new kitman Bri Maca.
Crook Town keeper Rowan Makepeace is lucky not to be in the way of this rocket of a shot from ISAAC WALKER, as it might have taken his head off. Instead it almost rips the netting away from goal frame, as it puts Redcar Athletic 2-0 in front just a few minutes into the 2nd half.
John Neasham, Redcar Athletic Official presents the medals and trophy to the winners of the D & G Trophy Final, Whitby Fishermens FC. The game was played at BM BiFolding Doors Stadium, Green Lane on Wednesday night.
@FishermansFc
@redcarathleticf
OWEN CLARKSON with a looping header gets Redcar Athletic Reserves back in the game to make it 2-1. Redcar Athletic's 1st were in a game from then on in.
Sunderland West End substitute KIERON MARTIN pounces to hook the ball in after it rebounds off the post, to give them a 2-1 lead against Redcar Athletic with just 7 minutes remaining.
If you fall off the bike, get straight back on it. JORDAN RIVIS after seeing an earlier penalty saved, shows his steel when taking another spot kick under even more pressure and this time with 5 minutes to go, he makes no mistake to make Redcar Athletic 2-2 Thornaby.
Nice to see Britain's Tallest Man passing by Redcar Athletic's BM Bi-Folding Doors Stadium on Saturday ,making a cameo appearance and watch a little of The Steelmen's 4-0 thrashing of title contenders Whitley Bay. Can you spot him??
CHARLIE PATERSON equalises for Kader against Redcar Athletic Reserves in the 48th minute of tonight's Northern League Premier Division game. Apologies for the quality of the clip as this is down to my testing of a new camera tonight and I've had to film this playing on my laptop.
Right after Redcar Athletic's previous chance in the 69th minute the referee blew straight away a short drinks break and straight after the resumption in the 72nd minute they scored their 3rd goal in 3 playing minutes. LIAM WILLIAMS nets, after a save denies Elliott his 2nd.
ISAAC WALKER latches onto Stephen Jackson's pass, which the home defender is unable to cut out and calmly plants it past the Penrith keeper to put Redcar Athletic 1-0 ahead in the 10th minute.
ISAAC WALKER puts Redcar Athletic 2-1 in front against Ashington in the 70th minute. You can't quite see how superb the pass actually was by Jonathan Krakue, but it got the finish it deserved.
MICHAEL MCGEE smashes home a penalty just after the half hour mark to give
@wolvoworld
(Wolviston) the lead. The penalty award was debatable and it unsettled Redcar Athletic, but worst was to worry about was to come.
Connor Smith makes it 2-0 for Redcar Athletic against Bedlington Terriers with a thumping shot after Kallum Hannah heads against the post just 2 minutes into the 2nd half.
Spoke to the ref and assistant after the game about this. I said if they were correct by not awarding a penalty after I viewed the video then I'd give high marks on Major Decision Making on FA Referee Marking System. Pretty clear I believe. And NO.
Straight from the kick off and 80 seconds after pulling one back, ISAAC WALKER scores a 2nd goal for Redcar Athletic to silence the Guisborough Town home crowd, who just 2 minutes earlier were enjoying a 3 goal lead.
After soaking up a lot of pressure from Ashington, on the half hour mark Redcar Athletic breakout and OWEN CLARKSON, on his first start in 2022, surprises everyone with his finish to put The Steelmen 1-0 ahead.
Good cover work by Reserves defender Josh Heathcock reaps the reward, as he has put himself in the right place to be able to clear Michael Woodhouse's effort off the line.
ISAAC WALKER interrupts my story about him not starting against Ashington, by scoring to put Redcar Athletic ahead against Sunderland RCA in today's game. I was asked if he had missed a game this season. Ashington manager had a short memory as we beat them 3-1 up there.
Red hot DONNY HOLDSWORTH makes it 2-0 for Redcar Athletic just seconds after Bishop Auckland keeper Ryan Catterick pulls off great save to prevent Donny's header hitting the back of the net from Anthony Bell's free kick. Great assist from new boy Oscar Fletcher.
No query over the
@wolvoworld
goal from JAKE STOTT who makes it 3-0 on 58 minutes, after Redcar Athletic keeper Dan Simpkin did well to make a good save to stop the original shot.
Redcar Athletic keeper Dan Simpkin pulls off a great reaction save in the 8th minute to prevent Adam Drysdale from putting Sunderland West End 1-0 ahead in last night's match.
After seeing his shot turned round the post, from the resulting corner kick DONNY HOLDSWORTH heads home to equalise for Redcar Athletic against Northallerton Town in the 50th minute, after headers across the box and back again by James Paylor and Craig Hutchinson.
DONNY HOLDSWORTH puts Redcar Athletic 1-0 against title chasing Whitley Bay. It was to be the start of an excellent team performance, which the home supporters lapped up with glee as The Steelmen ended up with a thumping 4-0 victory.
A great run and an excellent finish in the 83rd minute from ALFIE CONWAY seals the 3 points for Redcar Athletic by making it 3-1 against Northallerton Town.
Owen Clarkson makes it 3-0 on 44 minutes for Redcar Athletic Reserves aganst Wynyard Village. Sorry I didn't get your 2nd to make it 5-0 Owen, as Percy Preston's cute little dog was pissing on my shoulder bag.
With thanks to the referee and his assistants, who were happy for me to upload my video of this incident, here's Sunderland West End's equaliser that wasn't awarded early in the 2nd half against Redcar Athletic.
@Westend_FC
Just finally uploaded on my laptop, here's ISAAC WALKER, who else? scoring Redcar Athletic's 1st goal of the 2022/23 season against West Allotment Celtic. Redcar Athletic went on to win 3-2 against this very decent side.
How's this for a free kick? Kader's no.3 almost nets from over 50 yards out in last night's match against Redcar Athletic Reserves, but keeper Daniel Simpkin save the day for The Steelmen. Apologies for the quality as it's filmed from playback from my laptop.
4 minutes after Redcar Newmarket went 3-2 up on the hour mark, poor defending from a corner allows THOMAS EGLINTON to tap the ball home from close range to make it 3-3.
Last October I watched Redcar Athletic lose 3-2 against Tow Law Town and tomorrow again I'm on my travels to them a year and a few days later. I'm hoping for a better result and more of what Stephen Jackson did. I want hear more "get ins" from myself on camera tomorrow please.
Some more action from last night's Scarborough Athletic v Redcar Athletic North Riding Cup tie. This was just before the first goal of the game was scored. We were moving the ball about pretty well in my opinion. The goal knocked a bit a stuffing out of us for a while.
Hooray! 2020/21 Pre-Season finally kicks off. Redcar Athletic Reserves kick off against Wynyard Village at BM Bi-Folding Doors Ground Green Lane on 8th August. Redcar Athletic Reserves went on to win 7-0 with a classy performance. Bodes well for the future.
McCorie Carmichael rounds Stokesley AFC's keeper to make it 2-1 in today's cup game in the 33rd minute. Just got the camera started in time and then forgot to switch it off
Could have been disastrous for Redcar Athletic this as Nathan Guru is shown a straight red card in the 31st minute, after a coming together with Guisborough Town substitute MacKenzie Dicicco.
HARRY WILLIAMS promoted from the Reserves team nets a debut goal with an absolute beauty, with 4 minutes remaining in the game to make it Redcar Athletic 6-0 Durham City. Steve Simpkin now needs to find 2 strikers for the Reserves side.
CRAIG HUTCHINSON makes it 5-0 for Redcar Athletic against Sunderland RCA in the 60th minute. What a flick pass by Sonni Coleman for the assist, which is simply sublime and quite likely one of the best you're likely to see at this level.
This! Tough, hard coming together of 2 players going fullout to win the ball. Note the reaction of both sets of players and the crowd. No baying for anyone to be sent off, no fisticuffs, no handbags, no afters. Both players were able to carry on after treatment. Real Football.
Went to check all yesterday's football results last night on BBC Sport's website and was shocked to see the best result of the day on there. It's for real and not a made up piece. Check it out it's on there! So proud to be involved with Redcar Athletic.
A bit more action from today's Langbaurgh League Terry Smith Cup Final at Redcar Athletic FC's ground. Look at that crowd for a Sunday League Cup Final. I reckon around or just above 200. Brilliant support for both teams.
@langbaurgh
CHARLIE HINDSON puts West Auckland 3-1 up in the 1st minute of added time against Redcar Athletic. The game ended 2 minutes later with the final score Redcar Athletic 1 v 3 West Auckland.
@westaucklandfc
A cracking cross in from the right wing is finished off with a firm header from CHARLIE PATERSON to make it 3-0 to Redcar Athletic Reserves. Much better picture quality with the sun behind me.
What a difference a year makes. This time last year we were struggling to match the pace the Northern League games were played at. Today it was us that set the pace. Unbeaten in what looked liked tough month. Brilliant start. Keep it up lads.
#UTA
@redcarathleticf
Redcar Athletic's Joe Bennett makes a stunning tackle to prevent Northallerton Town's Damon Reaks from scoring late on in Friday night's Northern League Division 2 clash.
@redcarathleticf
@NorthallertonFC
It's Michael Woodhouse deep into injury time finishing off from close range to net the winner, after Sam Webster's chip hits the bar. It ended Bedlington Terriers 2 -3 Redcar Athletic.
WOW! This is possibly my Redcar Athletic Goal of the Season as Carlisle City players get nowhere near the ball with several passes being made, before DONNY HOLDSWORTH smashes it home on the half-volley. Absolutely wonderful. What a team effort. Great football.
Didn't really need to be requested to tweet this one. It's a cracker of a free kick from Ethan Wood of Newton Aycliffe to put them 6-1 up against Redcar Athletic. If you're going to score like that you may as well try to match it with a celebration.
@NAycliffeFC
