Back to 2012. Me shooting on the RED ONE cinema camera. I made many directors at the time switch from Canon5D & 7D to RED after I shot videos like Burna's "like to party" and Mavin's "Adaobi" on this camera. The imagery was topnotch. They had to switch.

Right now, it's the music that blows up the video, not the other way. Expensive video is mainly good for artist branding and is not necessary for music marketing. If you can't shoot a big video, shoot a small one and push it hard. As long as the music is good, it can still fly.

We abandoned the Afrobeats sound that blew up globally. This Amapiano influence really killed the genre. Djs dont even have to be skilled anymore as all the songs have the same bounce and tempo. They even have time to dance 😄. We replaced melody with monotony.
