As a Nigerian geology graduate, I can tell you that this is actually the norm.
Even my *professors* didn't believe in evolution, and openly spoke against it.
One of my coursemate said he doesn't believe actually dinosaurs existed. The other coursemates were not that different.
A geologist not believing that evolution is a thing wasn't on my 2024 bingo card but I'm not surprised. 😂😂😂
