Literally the best advice I ever got in TEKKEN was do EVERYTHING for a reason. May sound simple at first but that includes
-Backdashing
-Sidestepping
-getting off the ground
The more you start to process everything for unique situations, the better your overall play will be.

The animation of a hellsweep getting blocked is possibly the most satisfying animation in tekken. The just flat out "fuck you" to the person trying to sweep you as they freeze.
Its like a million times more satisfying then a DP punish.

Online TEKKEN 7 actually will make you worse at the game offline if you play it too much in it's current state imho.
I've pretty much cut it out completely and only have been playing offline and my play level has skyrocketed.
Once a week at locals + labbinh + footage = succes.
