Tonight raise a glass to the USS Bunker Hill CG-52. She was decommissioned this afternoon. She marked the beginning of a new era in naval warfare bringing together the combo of SPY-1, VLS and SM-2.
She was born back in 1986 at a time when we were mighty and ruled the seas.
